The City of San Francisco is in the midst of replacing aging sewer lines using Magic Plumbing and their efficient, economically sound trenchless sewer replacement system.

In the past, sewer line replacement has been an expensive and laboriousproposition.  There had been the digging up of the asphalt, concrete and greenery under which the sewer line was buried.  Next was the removal of the whole sewer line, which was then replaced with the new sewer line.  Ultimately, the new sewer line was buried under new asphalt, concrete and greenery.  This old method took a week or more to complete and resulted inimportant traffic congestion throughout the complete process.

The modern trenchless sewer replacement method on the other hand is relatively fast and affordable.  A single hole is dug near the residence or commercial building to bare the sewer line, while a second hole is dug where the sewer line meets the mainline.  State of the art equipment is then inserted into the still-buried sewer line to smash it apart.
The broken sewer line leaves room for the new sewer line and remains underground.  The sewer drain is then mixed together to create a single, continual pipe that is flexible and efficient.  Using trenchless sewer line technology, the whole process of replacing a sewer line can be completed within a day or 2 and costs thousands of bucks less.
